I'm going to monitor it over the next few days before I close this thread just in case this was a fluke. What's odd is that after a few restarts, nothing changed, but after shutting down and leaving it alone overnight, the issue SEEMS to be gone. You mean the dreaded full Windows reinstall, yeah? And I thought DDU was just for GPU drivers, so I've never actually used it. Choices seem to be clean reinstall or possibly DDU (I don’t know if that is programmed to get ryzen master bits or not) or reinstall ryzen master and mess with it to slow things down. There’s a reason Linux and mac people make fun of uninstall wizards. To make it more fun it’s not impossible that it’s low enough level that the uninstall wizard doesn’t get everything. Sounds like you ran into their default speeds which are apparently higher than your bios settings. Ryzen master has fan speed controls which can override bios controls apparently. I can't be the only one who this has happened to. How could this even happen? I thought Ryzen Master couldn't control fan speeds. I can't even think straight with all this noise, please help. I also made sure there were no new background apps running.
My CPU utilization is higher than normal despite nothing being open but Chrome, Discord, Nord and Task Manager. I reset my BIOS with the software uninstalled, but my fans won't stop running at what sounds like half to full speed (relatively new Noctua fans, if it matters). All I did was install and open it then my fans immediately ramped up, so I promptly uninstalled, restarted into BIOS to check my fan speeds and they're still "silent". I wonder how else I could decrease the fan speed (while of course maintaining a sensible cooling performance) without making so much noise.-I didn't even use the application. To no effect as hinted by this youtube video dealing with the same problems. I tried changing the advanced power settings and dropped the Minimum processor state from 100% to 20% and also decreased the max processcor state to 99%: I am looking for ways to throttle noise level as it is very distracting while working on the PC as well as irritating to others in the same room. In this moment of my writing, the system idles at 3% system load.Īlso, there is no sound indicating any sort of defect on the bearings and I am sure it's the Wraith Prism as if I daringly (and not recommended) stop the fan with my hand, the rest of my system is almost entirely silent. My issue is the cooler is very loud as it appears to run at full throttle even when there is no system load. I have a PC setup with an AMD 2700X Ryzen CPU with its stock Wraith Prism CPU cooler on a MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC.
